LOVINA VARGAS
Southern Italy
Southern Italy
Are you a Nation or a Counterpart?: Counterpart
Your Name: Lovina Vargas
Your Nationality: South Italian
Age: 22
Sex: Female
Physical Description:
Lovina doesn't particularly stick out in a crowd. She's your average Italian woman, small-framed, standing about 5' 5'' and having a pale olive complexion. She isn't particularly tanned or dark, since she's uncomfortable showing skin around strangers or those she doesn't know very well, so she usually opts for sleeved shirts and skirts that fall to about her knees. Her hair is dark brown in color, in contrast to her sister's which is more of an auburn color. It's these small differences that tells them apart, so mistake her for someone else and she will go off on you. One piece of hair stands out from the rest: it curls upward and catches your attention just.. floating there. She has tried several times to tie it down, slick it down, and even cut it off, but it always seems to grow back the very next day, and now she hardly bothers with it (though that doesn't mean you can just go around touching it.. you'll be punched squarely in the nose for such things). Lovina's eyes are an olive green and easily convey her emotions, despite the fact the Italian is usually seen spaced out, glaring, or scowling. Smiling isn't something you'll see her do a lot unless she openly likes being around you, and the woman has even gone through lengthy explanations explaining she wasn't laughing, but choking on air.
Personality:
If there was one word that could sum up Lovina, 'tsundere' would come pretty darn close. The woman puts up a front of being strong and disliking everyone else, particularly males. Even if it's your first time meeting her, she may shoot you a glare for no reason and instantly become suspicious of you. Tick her off, and she'll go on a ranting spree, filled with colorful language and several objects flying at you. She's hardly ever seen smiling or laughing, instead being the one to stand back and watch the people she considers morons while her arms are crossed and she's scoffing in the background. With females, she's a little more lenient, especially if they seem the friendly or innocent type; moreover, violent females frighten her while loud, eccentric ones freak her out a little. When it comes to males- you're hated by existing. Well, not hated, but Lovina becomes extremely guarded and you'll be named either a 'bastard' or a 'pervert' within the first ten minutes.. This isn't to say she's sexist, but doubtful.
This is because her entire personality revolves around walls. Her tough act? So no one gets close and hurts her later. Her irrational anger toward most males? She doesn't want to end up liking one, and getting hurt later. Her tsundere attitude when she does end up doing so? The same thing. There's only few the fem really and truly trusts, but that doesn't mean it's impossible. For one, she's the type to go off of instinct instead of logic. Yes she has her moments of 'That's plain stupid', but for the most part, that's how she is. If you just seem like the type she can trust, Lovina will instantly open up more (but not without an inner battle with herself asking just what makes you so damn special). When one gets to know the Italian, they'll find she's rather joking and chatty, and she's just like any other girl: she cries during chick flicks, she likes dressing up and feeling pretty, things like that. All in all, she's an unsure individual hoping she doesn't end up alone, but at the same time refusing to put down any walls.

Sample Post: Ugh. Why did she even agree to go this thing in the first place? It's not like she really cared about what was going on, or who would be there, or what the stupid meeting was about. For all Lovina knew, the room would probably be filled just with the people she hated, and she would be stuck there listening to God-knows what for God-knows how long. The counterpart sighed, scowling slightly as she hurried toward the room, tucking a stray piece of hair behind her ear. 'This better be damn worth it. I could be having a siesta right now or at home relaxing.'
To say she wasn't content was an understatement, but she was more annoyed more than anything. Fine, so she did care about this meeting, not liking the way THE nations were running things, but why did it have to be so far away and at this time? In a basement nevertheless.
Lovina glared at the room used by the nations before carefully continuing until the designated meeting area was found. Immediately, second thoughts formed. She sighed a little and rolled her eyes at no one in particular. 'I don't even know who's here, and I don't even like most of these bastards,' she reasoned with herself, 'I should just go home and have my sorella tell me what happened.' As much as she was considering not entering the room, she did anyway.
".. Is this it?" The Italian quickly raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms, looking around the room at the mostly-empty chairs; at least there wasn't anyone scary or crazy tall there, but.. Had she come too early, or too late? Or were the others just not coming. She recognized one of them right off the bat, Alice, but for the other, the face was familiar, not the name. Lovina didn't try to hide her irritation as she walked in and sat in one of the chairs by the round table, straightening out her khaki skirt as she looked back and forth between the two.. Awkward? Slightly. She wasn't close with either of them. After a moment of debate, she sighed for the umpteenth time, settling her gaze on Alice because she was likely the one in charge between the two. "Am I late or is this meeting just a bust?"
